This article identifies some of the technologies that provided a solution but also limited the capabilities of the retail sector in the past. It touches on why those tools are ineffective today and should be replaced with more adaptable unified communications solutions.

Article 2: The retail challenge - large and small approaches

This article explores specific similarities and differences across the retail segment. It reviews some of the requirements of a large retail chain with many stores and a small retailer with a handful of small stores. Although their requirements are similar, size or scale of retail operation impacts how technology might be successfully deployed. We’ll touch again on some of the unique challenges within the retail industry.

Article 3: The future of unified communications in retail

This article moves beyond the technology of the past and focuses on what’s really happening at present. It also takes a look at future trends and consider how emerging technologies and trends in the unified communications sector today are likely to impact the retail industry.
