The results from the recent Aberdeen report, 'There is no execution without Integration:MES Adoption Drives Performance,' indicate High Tech manufacturers are 50% more likely to be Best-in-Class (BIC) manufacturers.
This research categorised manufacturers as Best-in-Class, Industry Average and Laggards, based on weighted averages across five key performance indicators (KPIs): on time delivery; stock outs; work in process (WIP); direct material variance; and throughput. This Sector Insight highlights the process, organisation, knowledge management, performance and technology characteristics of High Tech manufacturers that enable their elevated performance.
