IoT provides a great opportunity for organizations to improve operational efficiencies, drive revenue, and engage customers. Organizations that fail in data and analytics efforts usually fail for a few reasons. A primary reason is that they haven’t addressed business issues or provided business value to the organization. It will be important that any IoT deployment provides value. That means that the data strategy will need to be aligned with the analytics strategy that supports the business issue.
