The new Oracle Database 12c In-Memory feature is fully compatible with existing standard or optional database features such as table and index compression, table encryption, and table partitioning.

Companies that run their SAP software on the Oracle Database have the advantage of greater flexibility. Two of the main reasons are support for many HW/OS platforms and the different DB Server architectures a customer can choose from.
