There is a sharp increase in the number of organisations accelerating the development cycle of their packaged applications, like SAP, to deliver innovation to their customers. SAP application teams, including BASIS, are now moving towards a more agile methodology to accelerate the software development life cycle while ensuring that they’re complying with regulations, such as GPDR, for sharing data with development and quality assurance teams. These teams are also being tasked to adopt SAP HANA for underlying data sooner due to the upcoming SAP 2025 deadline of not supporting non-SAP underlying data sources. This industry-wide mandate is further putting pressure on SAP users to plan ahead and start the migration now. Application acceleration within the organisation’s regulatory framework and SAP HANA migration are not mutually exclusive and can go hand-in-hand
